Yvon Despres

Yvon Despres, 87, of Bouctouche Sud, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. He was married to the late Lucie (Gallant) Despres (2019). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Frederick «Fred» and the late Marie-Rose (Léger) Despres.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons; Maurice (Judy) of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, Charles (Diane) of Leominster, MA, his six grandchildren; Mathew, Corey, Amanda, Chantal, Jimmy, Nicole and his five great grandchildren; Kayla, Paisley, Connor, Emerin and Bridgets. He also leaves to mourn two sisters; Yvonne Hébert of Grande-Digue, Rosemonde Dionne of Saint-Gregoire, one brother; Alyre (Marguerite) of Cocagne as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by two sisters; Bernice, Alfreda and two brothers; Oscar and Normand.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday July 29, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday July 29, 2024 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
