Donald Léger
1948-2024
Donald Léger, 76, of Bouctouche passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family at his residence on Thursday July 11, 2024.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Roger and the late Yvonne
(Belliveau) Léger.
Donald was a Bookkeeper by profession and prepared tax returns for over 30 years with Kent Bookkeeping and Tax Services.
In his personal time, Donald loved to write songs and play his guitar amongst his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the arts in general and loved to travel. Donald also enjoyed playing hockey and public skating. He lived for Schwartz’s Deli smoked meat in Montreal. Those that knew him closely can attest to his singular sense of humor.
He will be sadly missed by his four children; Ginette Léger of Moncton, Suzanne Léger (Daniel) of Grande-Digue, Marc (Chantal) of Bouctouche, Mathieu (Vanessa) of Moncton, his six grandchildren; Christopher (Monique), Xavier, Liliane, Miquo, Patric, Dominic and Catherine Leger (Vautour) the mother of his children. He also leaves to mourn two special friend; Monique May and Michelle Marcil, two sisters; Claudette Geldart of Moncton, Janice Blake (late Mike) of Waterloo, ON, two brothers; Bob (Linda) of Dieppe, Terry (Shirley) of Saint-Antoine and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday July 26, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. A private service will be held at a later date.
In Donald’s memory, donations may be made to the Gerald-LeBlanc Public Library in Bouctouche or to the Violence Prevention Centre of Kent.
