Janita Maillet

Janita Maillet, 90, of Bouctouche Bay, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by the love of her family, at her residence on Saturday June 29, 2024. She was married to the late Yvon Maillet (2022). Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Georgina (Caissie) Richard.
She will be sadly missed by her six children; Lisette Surette (Adrien) of Saint-Gregoire, Catherine Allain (Jean-Paul) of Rimouski, QC, Jacques (Mélisa) of Mundleville, Luc (Aurella) of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, Claire Maillet (Jean-Marc) of Saint-Paul, Désiré (Florence) of Cocagne, her sixteen grandchildren, her twenty great grandchildren and her four great great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her two brothers; Gerald (Antoinette), Georges of Rogersville as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her three sisters; Rita, Angeline, Lucienne and two brothers; Mederic and Eugène.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday July 2, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Janita’s memory, donations may be made to Children’s Wish Foundation or NB Mental Health Association.
